OK, this part of the forum is dying. I'm bored. Been looking at YouTube for some great old songs. Thought it might be interesting to swap videos of some of the songs and artists that we like. Anything goes - rock, pop, grunge opera. Post 'em here.

I'll kick off with three:

Ahh, this next one is from possibly my favourite ever band (after Libera of course). Seen them live a few times, they don't make them like this any more.....

More mainstream next and perhaps a future Libera hit?

And finally, a Yorkshireman that did it better than the Beatles

Those last two are on Tom C's favourite band list.

Yeah, Joe Cocker is a legend! I love his "Sail Away", too. Have you seen the drum set? Written there is "Queen", do you know why? Queen was the band with Freddie Mercury. Why is the logo written on Joe Cockers drumset?

It was a concert for the Queen's Golden Jubilee (50 years as Queen). One of the headline acts was 'Queen' the band (no Freddie of course). They invited Joe Cocker to do a number with them so that's why Queen was on the drum kit. By the way did you notice who was playing the drums for that song?

This last one is a tune to which Yorkie strutted his stuff on the dance floor of many a sleazy nightclub back when Adam was a lad
:D

What sort of disturbed mind has all this stuff in their music collection? Be afraid, be very afraid.

Nice idea Yorkie, but you are flooding your own topic, who have the time to watch 22 videos in a row ?

I just post one, "Maggot Brain" from Funkadelic :)

No personal message behind this title ,
it's just that I love this guitar instumental even if it's near 40 years old ! :)

I have set this song and a few others in the user tracks of the game GTA San Andreas, but it's very rare I can reach the end of the song, I usually wreck the car too fast

You and that other Tom have pretty good taste; I like The Cure and Level 42 as well. :D

A few more from the new wave era.....

Funkadelic indeed FDL - didn't have you down as an axe man. Not heard it before but I likes it. Who has time to watch 22 vids back to back? Me!

Tom, your music taste is more diverse than mine  You just got to love those New Wave hair styles - really not sure about that Eurovision one though
