Libera are nominated in two categories for Best Band/Duo and Best Cover Song in the upcoming Fab Chart Music Awards. Voting will take place March 6-8,2021. Supporting them in any ways we can is a big help to the group..

It's a British program, shouldn't a British person do that? Someone familiar with the website and program.

The song Libera is nominated with for Best Cover Song is Joyful, Joyful. I find their cover of From a Distance much more particular considering these pieces' relative originals and other cover versions, but obviously I wasn't asked.

Cai Thomas was nominated too, for Best Male Artist and, like Libera, for Best Cover Version ("Suo Gan") - oh well.

I can't see how Suo Gan can be a cover version as there is no original artist (to be honest I'd think the same about Joyful Joyful too). But, what do I know.

Valid objection I stumbled upon, too, in the first moment. Rather regarding "Suo Gan" though, because this is a traditional piece, while Joyful, Joyful was taken from Beethoven's 9th symphony. However, they seem to have defined the word "cover" in a broader sense, simply not being an own composition and already interpreted by others. Having said this, Angele Dei would of course not fit into the cover category, while Danny Boy would.
