Re: Your top three favorites?
OK I thought I would revive this thread since it is so old and there are a lot more new soloists since the last post. Tom Cully and Josh Madine remain two of my all time favourites, but many new great soloists have come along since. I have to say I love Gregor Lumsden singing Three Ravens, and Rocco...

Re: what libera lyrics strikes you most and why?
A Song of Enchantment...Not sure why, It could be just because its a beautiful song, the words have no particular meaning to me personally, but it is a nice poem. A song of enchantment I sang me there In a green green wood by waters fair Just as the words came up to me I sang it under a wild wood tr...

Re: Does anyone else?
I would be delighted if I could get hold of the muti-track recordings of just ONE of their songs just to be able to hear all the different parts. Would be nice to have to try remixing as well, it would allow for a lot more flexibility than having to work with just the final mix.

Re: How Can I Keep From Singing
How can I keep from singing is one of my favourite songs. It has a very unusual timing which gives it a very interesting feel, which appeals to the musician in me.

Re: older arrangement of Salva Me and Sanctus (II)
Same here, I prefer a lot of the earlier arrangments on their first album Libera, such as "Libera", "Salva Me", and "Lux Aeterna", which was retitled "In Paradisum" on the album "New Dawn". And I much prefer the version of "Gaudete" on the ...

Re: Auto tune?
Wouldn't using a program to alter a singer's pitch noticeably change the character of the voice? If the singer was only say a semitone out then the adjustment would not be noticable, and I suspect during production, in Libera's case at least, voices are tweeked on a note by note basis, rather that ...

Back on topic....I only just noticed this thread. I clicked on the link and was taken to a page where it appears the interview is only available on DVD, is this correct?

Re: Potential Impact of COVID-19 on Libera
I imagine it probably will impact them in some way, and the concert in Ely may even be put on hold because of it. We will have to see what Boris decides to do next, if anything.

Re: Libera remix
Nice work, as a big fan of trance and of Libera, it gets a thumbs up from me. I have heard some pretty poor attempts at remixing Libera, this is probably one of the first that I have listened to right to the end.

Re: Songs from Luminosa CD that Deserve New Recordings
Ah yes Sacris Solemnis and Gaudete are two of my favourite tracks from that album. I have fond memories of Tom and Josh performing the solo in Sacris Solemnis when I went to see them in Torquay.

I always thought that picture looked as though it was taken in a multi story or underground car park. It is a nice picture though.
