Re: Luca Brugnoli

Will the tracks be released to the public while the kickstarter is still going on? I thought making these tracks public was part of the 'strategy' to get people to donate to the kickstarter. For social media, they are releasing piano only versions as the idea is people need to donate to get ‘offici...

Re: St John's Smith SQ Concert 2022 - Dec 4th

I don’t know if it was a St John’s decision or a Libera decision not to stream. But I have made a plea for them to re-consider. Fingers crossed. The other thing that we must consider is just how expensive and/or time consuming the editing is. Sam Coates, or whoever did the editing after the two SJS...

That sounds really exciting, thanks for sharing. Where can we find these tracks?
If you've pledged to his kickstarter, seems like you can download 'Ave Maria' and 'Vincent' now. Well worth a listen.

Re: Concert in Ely Cathedral, May 2022

I have 2 extra tickets, 1 adult and 1 child (child can be upgraded to adult for a small fee), for the upcoming Ely concert. Seating position is in the front few rows. Do contact me if interested. The two tickets have been changed to 2 ADULT tickets, in the first 4 rows. Do let me know if interested...

Re: Which Libera songs comfort you in the most complete way?

'Do not stand at my grave and weep' with Tom Cully as the soloist is my foremost choice. A close second would be 'Lullabye' with Josh Madine as the soloist. Otherwise, it'd be one of the few songs written/co-written by Muramatsu - 'Song of Life', 'Angel', 'You were there', 'Far Away'... Did I miss a...

Let's remain hopeful that Libera will do some a virtual concert or otherwise have some manner of performance this spring.
I'm still waiting for the MV to appear :P

Re: Ely 2021 - April 24th

I would love to attend. Unfortunately, as long as there are mandatory quarantines either on arrival or on return, it is highly improbable I will be able to attend.

Re: St John's Smith SQ Christmas Concert 2020 (Dec 6)

Song For Our World - yeah! Very dance-like, rhythmic, not at all like the songs by Libera we are used to, not even with upbeat songs like Ding Dong  or Three Ships . But the choral arrangemen did work, it was still our Libera who sang it!  That's a rousing music which was so enterta...

Re: St John's Smith SQ Christmas Concert 2020 (Dec 6)

Also, I've attempted to transcribe "Sing for our World". There's a few words I couldn't quite catch, appreciate any input. Joining our voices that sing in the darkness Joining in song to light up our way Love, peace and freedom, no boundaries between us Rising together all peoples as one ...

Re: St John's Smith SQ Christmas Concert 2020 (Dec 6)

For those who are interested, Libera's "Sing for our World" is based on "Nusantara", an original composition by famed Indonesian composer, Elwin Hendrijanto. The song was created for a children's choir in Indonesia. https://youtu.be/r2i91u8uuqQ The (google translated) lyrics are ...

Re: St John's Smith SQ Christmas Concert 2020 (Dec 6)

Actually the video was shot professionally, or at least by a professional. It was mentioned in the credits. While I was somewhat disappointed by certain camera angles (in particular, the top down camera angle with the large chandelier in the middle of the frame) and the slightly noisy closeups, the ...
