I love the lyrics and melody of Something Sings. Its a very haunting tune...reminds me of a beautiful yet very quiet spring morning, somewhere deep inside the forest with water dews on the leaves...i guess the "spring born flowers" and "robins songs" really helped me establish tha spring imagery lol.

Let me go where I will
I hear a sky born music still
Its sound from all things old
Its sound from all things young

From all that’s fair
From all that’s dark
Peals out an Everlasting song

Not only in the rose
It is not only in the bird
Not only rainbow glows
Nor in its music heard

But in the dark and cold of things
There always, always something sings

From all that’s fair
From all that’s dark
Peals out an Everlasting song

Tis not in stars I look
Nor in the bloom of spring born flowers
Nor in the robins song
Nor in the glint of showers

But in the dark and cold of things
There always, always something sings
But in the dark and cold of things
There always, always something sings

There always something sings

I love the childlike simplicity of Brian Wilson's lyrics of Love and Mercy - although I must admit to smiling slightly every time I hear the last verse...Gin and Tonic anyone?

-----------------
I was sittin' in a crummy movie with my hands on my chin
Oh the violence that occurs seems like we never win

Love and mercy that's what you need tonight
So, love and mercy to you and your friends tonight

I was lyin' in my room and the news came on T.V.
A lotta people out there hurtin' and it really scares me

Love and mercy that's what you need tonight
So, love and mercy to you and your friends tonight

I was standin' in a bar and watchin' all the people there
Oh the lonliness in this world well it's just not fair
'Far away beyond the sky'

There are so many wonderful lyrics to the songs that Libera sings! "Sing Forever", "I Am the Day", "Salva Me", "Sempiterna", "Stay With Me", "You Were There" and "Far Away" in particular are memorable. I know that's a lot but the music just resonates with meaning. Every song is great.

But...I cannot forget "Never Be Alone." That song made me listen to it twice; I heard it the first time I was listening to the New Dawn album and had to listen to it again.

A whisper in heaven re-echoes around
the songs of the angels resound
Their music of light chases darkness away
The voices uplifted to say--
You'll never be alone.

Though their music is lost in the noise of the storm
and the whispers are drowned in the flood
Their message of hope is not fading away
The echoes will never decay--
You'll never be alone.

Hello~
I'm a new comer~so happy to have joined this forum~
I like so many of Libera songs, but I would have to say I love the lyrics of 'Sing for ever' and 'Prayer' the most, especially 'Prayer'.
Everytime I listen to 'Prayer', I feel like really being watched, guided, cared and protected by the angels, and of course, the angles are Libera~coz their voice is angelic~~~

And everytime when I listen to 'Sing for ever', I whisper in my heart "Libera, pls sing for us for ever!"

Prayer
When at night I go to sleep,
Fourteen angles watch do keep.
Two my head are guarding,
Two my feet are guiding.
Two are on my right hand,
Two are on my left hand.
Two who warmly hold me,
Two with love enfold me.
Two who show me when I rise
The way to heaven's paradise.

Apart from this, I also like the lyrics of Love and Mercy, Rest In Peace, and You were there. But Prayer gives me the greatest impact.

A Song of Enchantment...Not sure why, It could be just because its a beautiful song, the words have no particular meaning to me personally, but it is a nice poem.

A song of enchantment I sang me there
In a green green wood by waters fair
Just as the words came up to me
I sang it under a wild wood tree

Widdershins turned I singing it low
Watching the wild birds come and go
No cloud in the deep dark to be seen
Under the thick thatch branches green

Twilight came silence came
The planet of evening's silver flame
By darkening paths I wandered through
Thickets trembling with drops of dew

But the music is lost and the words are gone
Of the song I sang as I sat along
Ages and ages have fallen on me
On the wood and the pool and the elder tree
