A little something to add to Libera's long line of accomplishments: Ship christening.
(If anyone here knows how to embed videos from FB, go ahead.)

Wow, very cool! I wonder how they were selected for such a unique event? It's another good piece of publicity for sure though.
Here is the embedded video. Took a little finagling to make it work.

Thanks Surpinto, you're amazing!
Regarding the publicity, I looked quick on the news sites, and there's no mention of a performance by Libera. PRNews says, "...as part of the ship's christening – or naming – ceremony, guests were treated to a concert from Norwegian soprano Sissel and The Olav's Choir."
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases ... 64210.html
I can't find anything about a "Olav's Choir", online, though. Only a "St.
Olaf's Choir", which is choir from The States, and who's social media page makes no mention of a christening.

I too searched for any mention of the libera performance on news sites, twitter, Facebook, but I found nothing.
About the singer
Sissel Kyrkjebø I found a photo of her singing at night and a photo of the stage earlier in the day (
here and
here)
About the group "Olav's Choir", the correct name is
Olavskoret (The Choir of the Norwegian Church).
Not guaranteed but it could be them on the video shown on this
tweet
Both that choir and Sissel Kyrkjebø were directed by
Paul Gobey.
Hopefully something will emerge about Libera's performance. They may publish a blog or some photos on the official site
Edit : I eventually found a photo that shows a bit of the the Libera on the Viking Sea.
They are on the upper deck, on the right, spread a bit everywhere along the bulwark.
Can you spot them ?

I'm sure it was fun for the boys, but in my experience cruise ship entertainers are usually "has-beens" or "never-weres". Perhaps a "christening" is different, but I don't think it would impress on their resume.

My my, aren't we getting pragmatic in our old age?
No, it's not impressive, but it is interesting.

I found a video! On Facebook! By typing in "Libera Viking Sea"! FDL, I sit at your feet. I thank you, O Master of Internet Delving, for your wise instruction.
Of course, the video was taken with a potato, but it is clearly "A Wonderful World." I wonder if this was the only song they sang? (Sorry, it won't embed, even with switching the site from Youtube to FB. )
