Libera Dreams

A few days ago I noticed that some links are now broken since the new lay out. When you put a link in a message and the link is very long the system automatically makes the link shorter by hiding parts of it. Like this:

The problem now is, if you click on it, only the first part is highlighted and that is what appears in the browser search bar. But ofcourse that is an incomplete link. You need the full link for it to work so you also need the hidden part, but the hidden part is now invisible, and the full link cannot be retraced.

This happens in Firefox 4 (latest version) and also in my version of Explorer (I think it's 8 but I'm actually not 100% sure).

I'll take a look at this.

I had a look at this problem. First of all: the text which is shown in the post as a link, it's only an alias. The link itself is included into the code from the page and not visible.
In the cases you showed me here I can see that the real link does not correspond to the alias. At the moment I think that the link was not cleanly copied into the page. To find this out it would be helpful if you could give me the link to the originales pages. Then I could take a look into the code.

I made also different tests with a veeeeeery long link but I couldn't see that something was cutted away when I copied or quotet it. I include it here so you can test it out:

Well, I'll follow up - but at the moment it looks like a copy + paste problem for me.
