Festive theme.

Post by paul »

So I have set up a temporary festive theme for Christmas. I will have the new banner up in the new year. For now, I have some major forum updates to complete.

I like how the position of your cursor dictates whether it's full on blizzard or gently falling. At least it's not settling on the bottom.

Makes me think "White Christmas" which makes me think Libera, which makes me think this video

Thanks Paul for the decorative holiday theme :D

The snow follows the cursor around the page!

I think having the snow settle on the bottom and gradually build up would be neat, though perhaps a bit much to ask.

Thanks for all of your hard work on the site Paul.

Hm, guess I'm the first to say I don't like the snow. It's very distracting, no matter how much I love Christmas decoration.

The Forum as a whole feels very new, fresh and clean.

I'm glad you like the newly upgraded forum, hence not liking the snow.

Most have welcomed the festive snow, so it would not be fair to change it on a single members view, as much as I respect the opinion of all. Please, if anyone else does not like it, let me know. I am open to criticism.

The addition of the snow was only a simple task taking a couple of minutes, and it could remove it just as quickly. Please let me know what you think. (Don't be shy, you won't offend me )

Cheers.

Paul :)

I'm fine with the snow for the moment, but I wouldn't want it all year round. I'd say maybe keep it til the end of December or so?

As long as the snow remains "British" - ie light and melting on contact, it's fine. Last winter we had accumulations of over eight feet in Canada.
