Ok for me, too. Also, I am definitely not a gentleman. I'll formally introduce myself when I have more time. Good luck to everyone!

As everyone is in agreement, the official decider will be tonight's draw using FDL's suggested method as this gives equal chance to all three of you. I will keep an eye on the draw and post the results as soon as they become available.

Once again.

Good luck everyone.

Just realised we have a problem - the one who gets the bonus ball in their block of numbers gets the DVD, but how do we separate the CD & signed programme?

ah-ha ! the procedure have to be improved for the next competition !!
(I have no answer Yorkie .. :? )

I just went on the national Lottery site but they show only last Saturday results.
Are you sure there's a draw tonight ?

The bonus ball drawn was 29

Which means, The Furby get the DVD, but as Yorkie said, we have a problem. How do we decide on second and third?

Perhaps the ball right before the bonus ball could be taken into account? Though it's too late to change the rules now that the draw is done... or else another round next Sunday, unless someone's got a better idea in the meantime ? :?

None of my business, but FDL is closer to the winning number in both the original play-off and the revised decider, however they may want to choose for themselves who gets what.

EternalLight, I presume that if not a Gentleman, you are a Lady rather than a bloke. In which case, the most gracious and chivalrous FDL would probably defer to you anyway.

No prizes offered, but any guesses for the next concert venue? US or Far East? What about the usual UK spring concert? Arundel? Guildford? Somewhere else?

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to Paul and Yorkie for their hard work. The competition was a lot of fun.

John

Hmm. I just assumed that second place would go to the person who had the closer number to the winning one. This seems fair to me. What are your thoughts, fdL?

As for The Furby, congratulations on winning first prize! :D

I agree with John's suggestion :)
EternalLight, if the CD interest you, have it, I would be happy to be said 3rd and to have the program

For the next tour : I bet an high amount on the US, for a couple of reasons :
  • Recent TV exposure in the US
They probably wants to capitalize the great opportunity of the two TVs airings on national channels on the Christmas week, without speaking about the hundreds of airings on local PBS networks during December.
  • Too late for Asia
A tour in Asia is more and more unlikely due to the time passing by.
It's true they are used to go somewhat in Asia in April but each time the concerts are hosted in big theatres that requires to be booked a long time in advance and with tickets sales opened months ahead the concerts.

Let's look the past years April tours announces :
April 2013: tour in Taiwan and Seoul, announced November 2
April 2012: tour in Singapore and Tokyo, announced on December 5
April 2010: tour in Tokyo, Korea and The Philippines, announced on December 18

We are now at reaching 2ns week of February, theres' only 60 days left before the first April concert, and still no announce about the tour.
The hypothesis of an Asian tour seems very unlikely to me, it not remains enough time for that.
  • Not to late for North America
If we look to 2011, which was their last tour in April in North America:
April 2011: Tour of Canada announced on ... March 6, it was 40 days only ahead the first concert. This is what fits the most the current calendar situation
  • A precise hint
A couple of days ago one of the boys tweeted about the complexity of the online procedure for a U.S. visa
I do not know what you think but in my opinion there's no doubt at all about their destination for their April tour :)

Good analysis - and I think you are correct in your conclusion. Just remains to be seen where.
Before the Marathon bombings, New England was a cert for Summer 2013 so perhaps that might be the favourite for the next (of several?) US tours.
As for Spring UK, I had heard that a new venue was mooted.

That is really nice of you FDL - at least the French still know how to be chivalrous it seems :D A true Libera Gentlemanfan.

Well, bearing in mind Paul's other thread there may not be a forum to hold a next competition on :(

I've had a lot of positive feedback and have been able to put into prospective, how valuable this community actually is. I think I have come up with a solution to minimize the maintenance of Libera Dreams. Ill prepare and post up my proposals onto my original thread this weekend :)
