A two-part blog of Libera's experiences in Northern Ireland surrounding the filming of the Christmas in Ireland DVD is now on their official website. It sounds like they had a wonderful time, and that certain aspects of the filming were new to many of them. Take a look - sorry, I haven't posted the link.

This is the easy part.
Does anyone know how to transfer from PVR to a flash drive or computer?

I thought it was 10th Nov, but it's this Friday isn't it? You could be sampling the first showing John.... take notes ;) ...but I'll still be avoiding any early showings until my festive bones kick in....with exception to 'Danny Boy'

A regular rogues gallery (and I don't mean the boys!).

#edit# Now you see it, now you don't......shame they removed it but I'm sure it will be back soon.

Don't know on both counts. Supplied by cable company.
Here's what it has on the back

Your device is a Motorola DCX3400, it has many data connectors, USB, firewire, Ethernet.
See page # 37 on the user guide.

Sadly, if provided by the cable copany, then everything is made to prevent the recorded files to be exported to a computer :|
Even on the internal HDD the files are encrypted.
Many people asked the same question and got same answer as this.

So, enjoy the video Friday and post us your review afterward, I think it's the best you can do for us

Well perhaps the trailer wasn't yet ready for release or not quite finished, but I hope they don't deviate too far from what we saw. They should easily attract more fans & sales from it. The filming and production appeared more dynamic and fluid than the 2007 leiden DVD.

The company behind the production are TVCO http://www.tvco.eu/main/library.pdf (Page 6)

The Libera one is the only offering without a promo trailer. Damn. I can't help but notice the mistakes in the blurb though. Firstly, St Pat's Catholic Cathedral is not 'the Mother Church of Ireland' - that is the other St Pat's Cathedral (the Proddy one). Secondly the boys are aged 8 - 16? Not in that DVD!!!

Again, I'm mystified that the broadcasts will be in HD but the DVDs will not.
