Wow, I share the same birthdays with three world class musicians: Jim Morrison of The Doors, Jean Sibelius, and Carlos! Also Mini-James was born the day after on the 9th.

Its weird how some of the boys surname are suddenly added to.

Happened to Jacob Wood and now Carlos Rodriguez has had a last bit added.

dearmadine has updated her blog again, with some great pictures from the Seoul meet and greet. The boys look alot fresher and lively here, maybe that's due to the mid afternoon concert lol They will also be experts on the art of handshaking by the time they get back to the UK!

Again, kamsahamnida @dearmadine. :-)

And JimmyRiddle for the heads up.

I'm interested at the photographer's camera's setting. Either that or the place was beautifully lit. :-)

I was thinking that with so many new soloists in this concert tour, could we possibly see this trend in future concerts and recordings? I am wondering how their experience last year with adapting to Tom and Liam's voice changes influenced RP's soloist decisions this time around. Or I could be totally off and it's just a combination of RP picking the boy that would be perfect for the song and old boys leaving so the new boys have to take over anyway.

Thanks Dearmadine for the pictures and a very touching story about the effort into preparing the gifts for the boys. Korean fans surely leave a lasting impression lol, and judging by Libera's FB post, they are loving it.

And for yayoi310, thank you for the lovely review, the black robe bit is really interesting.

I am kicking myself now for spent all my spare cash on my camera gear at the beginning of the year, hense the inability to go to one of their concerts this year, because the arrangement and soloist and the songs are all so different! The only consolation is that I might be able to take better pictures of the boys the next time I am able to go to their concerts in the future, which I will, on their home turf hopefully.

I would really love to hear Ralph's rendition of When a Knight, though I have to say Stefan's version really left a great impression on me and remain my favourite untill maybe Ralph can best that.

Oh and the only dissappointment I had last year when I attended their Manila concert was the ommission of Mysterium, good to know that they have brought it back, with Stefan as soloist too!

I still love how i share a birthday with Liam...only have 6 years on him! I get Facebook updates from Libera to my phone and it seems they are having the time of their lives and they're loving it!

yayoi310 wrote:Hello,

I'm new to this forum, but I'd like to share my experience of Libera's amazing concert at Orchard Hall in Tokyo on both Apr. 8 and Apr.9.

Here's the set list and soloists:

A boy walked in to the center of the stage, stood alone and while he was singng 'Are you the door, are you the key ?', all other boys were on the stage and a boy (Stefan !) tured to us, the audience.

Then the concert started.

Part 1:
1. Adoramus (solo: Alfie)
2. Libera (solo: Stefan and Alfie)

Sammy talks about this spring tour.

3. Time (starting with Josh's solo, then Alex, Ralph, Jakob, Mathew and Ben joined.)
4. Sanctus (the last High note by Stefan.)
5. Sanctissima (solo: Ben)
6. Ave Verum (solo: Mathew, Clarinet by Steven G.)
7. Far Away (solo: Ben and Ralph, high note by Kavana, accompanied with RP's piano)
8. Salva Me (solo: Stefan)

Ben talks about their US tour on 2008.

9. Agnus Dei (started by Alex's solo, then Jakob, Daniel, Ralph joined. Steven plays Clarinet.)
10. Exultate (solo: Ben, duet: Stefan and Daniel, with Steven's Recorder)

intermission (15 or 20 minutes)

Part 2:

All boys appeared wearing black robes on their white robes.

1. Mysterium (solo: Stefan)
2. Orinoco Flow

While Freddie talks about their robes, other boys disapeared (for changing robes, I think.)
Then RP plays piano and all boys came back on the stage with thier white robes.

3. The Fountain (solo: Ralph)
4. How can I keep from singing ? (solo: Sammy)
5. When a knight (started with Steven's Pipe. solo: Ralph)
6. Love and Mercy (duet: Freddie and mini-James)

Josh's talk about his changing voice and introducing next song.

7. Secret (solo: Ben)
8. Stay with me (duet: Daniel and Ralph, high note: Mathew)
9. Deep Peace (solo: Stefan, James T)

Cassius introduce the last song and saying good night.

10. How shall I sing that majesty
(solo: Jakob, Stefan)

Encore: Libera

I'm not good at English, so there will be many misspellings or expressions.
And I described all the details of the concerts as far as I could remember.
If the above are wrong on some points, I'll correct later.

Anyway, I enjoyed Libera's amazing performance!

Yayoi

I believe Prizeman doesn't have much of a choice. Tom is out. Josh, Liam, Ed, Sam L. will be leaving the touring group soon. And then Ben also will be leaving soon. Between them that's 6 new members needed in the touring group.

With all these new soloists, it's interesting that this list of attending Libera performers were exactly the same as 6 months ago in the Philippines with the exception of Tom Cully who is not attending, and the new members, Luke and Cassius who are attending.

So we have pretty much the same composition, but with different soloists it's interesting how in a way it would be a different concert.
