The answer is already on the Libera Records Facebook page :)

Arrived in Tokyo, they then went far North on the Honshu island with the bullet train and arrived at Morioka station.

According to Libera Records and thanks to Yuki's translation, they got permission to miss school to attend an event for East Japan earthquake reconstruction support.
Wow! So the Ice-skating event is also a fundraiser?

From Libera Records as translated by Yuki. Thank you to Yuki for the translation!
Today, the boys got on a train of Sanriku-Tetsudo, which became famous as a train line that NHK drama "Ama-chan" was set in. They heard the story about the 3.11 disaster from the president of Sanriku-Tesudou, and they had a moment of silence prayer for the victims at a station. After that they visited a temporary housing area in Kamaishi, and met local people there. The people requested Libera boys to sing something, then the boys sang A-cappella "Nearer My God to Thee" for them. Libera's singing made them so happy, and the boys also felt so happy by that!

Yes thanks to Yuki for the translation - the automatic process on the net leaves you more confused and very frustrated to try and put the context in the right place. Libera are proving ambassadors of goodwill and Japan is showing them much reverence and affection.

Thanks to the many Japanese fans that tweet all this :)

A page that describes the skating event : English through Google - Original in Japanese
Interesting to read, even if Libera isn't named.

In addition of the airing of the event itself tomorrow Saturday January 9, there's a 1 hour related program 'Behind the scenes' that wil be broadcast on Sunday 17.
Hopefully an additional exposure occasion for Libera :)

The visual of the event :

This Yahoo news page says that a new mini-CD named "Jupiter" with reference LIBE-0005 will be released next month, February 17th.
English through Google - Original in Japanese

The CD will have 3 songs

2. oath - Jupiter 2016 (new version from Libera, as far as I understood)
3. Home - New song from the composer Takatsugu Muramatsu

The price is 1,188 yens (~ £7, €9)

It's really great to see that the newly created label Libera Records is so active !! :D
Label References known so fare are :
LIBE1/2 : the 'Angel' CD
LIBE3 : the beautiful big photo book
LIBE5 : the 'Jupiter' CD

Thanks to Yuki for the translation, we now know that the 'Jupiter' ('I vow to Thee' tune) that Libera will sing tomorrow at the Skating event is a version with lyrics in Japanese !
Libera will sing in Japanese, in front of a crowd of 2,000 to 5,000 persons (capacity of the Morioka Ice Arena) and in front of TV cameras that will be followed by millions of people !

This Japanese version will be one of the songs on the mini-CD :)

Thanks FDL for reporting the latest, I've seen a few tweets, but it's nice to have it all laid out on the forum.

So much news to keep up with. I will be keen to hear the new song 'Home' by Muramatsu, and the Japanese version of 'Jupiter - I Vow to Thee' will be very interesting to come across. I hope they become available for purchasable download at some point. It'll be a relief that Libera will have a dry-run for the early afternoon performance before the evening one is filmed for TV. I'm sure they'll do great.

My pleasure! And yeah, as I tweeted, Libera will be singing "New Jupiter" (I Vow to Thee) with Japanese lyrics produced by Mao tomorrow.
And the NEW mini CD (will be released in February) has New Jupiter and another Muramatsu-san's composition "Home". What a surprise! :D

Libera Records is a new and not a big label, but the representative of it, Yoko Kodama, was a great producer at EMI Japan (Universal Music) and she is the person who brought Libera to Japan at first. She and Imai-san (film director, translator) have been working with Libera for a long time, obviously more than 10 years. So that they & Muramatsu-san can make things happen. :D

That behind the scenes programme would have Libera as well! Taichi must be featured!

This is all so exciting! I can't wait to hear the Japanese Jupiter. Is someone going to record the event and post it?

Wow, so great to see them with such amazing opportunities. They really have true support in Japan and are being marketed and promoted properly. Is the new song "Home" sung by Libera or is it just an instrumental piece? I just ordered mine anyway

Looks like they are having fun on tour as well; painting wooden dolls and skating :D.

That does look like fun! I wonder what the venue looks like--is there a stage as well as an ice rink? I don't imagine they'd put the boys on ice--though that would be neat!-- lest the skater misjudge the distance and knock them down during a spin, or the boys trip or something.
Where'd you find the pictures, Surpinto?

Someone put a low quality video on YT, filming his TV.

It misses also the final bowing where the libera boys where the most visible.

Hopefully an official perfect video will be posted soon :)

Sorry another not perfect mobile recording, but it does reach the final bow scene at the end. Early stages, hopefully as you say a better copy will surface soon. The sound perks up a little after 3:17

Isaac did extremely well to hold his nerves, and reports suggest Tiachi sung his first solo with the 'Japanese' translation towards the end? Still sounds like Isaac to me?.... the very last part seemed to cut out? Anyway I like the version and it was very special for Libera to be involved in this.

Thanks Patrick and Jimmy for posting those links so we can get a flavour of the performance. I would agree that it sounded like one of the older boys to me at the end Jimmy and I would go with Isaac.
