Re: Forever (Spring 2023)

Yep pretty much in agreement, and if this is the only cover they've done so far which leaves me a little bit underwhelmed then they've done a pretty good job of it so far. Like others I like Mitchell's solo (congrats to him on his debut) but as soon as the beats and backing track comes in there's no...

Re: Forever (Spring 2023)

Well the new compositions and the songs they haven't covered before will interest me the most. Katrina & the Waves (Love shine a light) is a surprise cover but very eager to see how they add their 'libera' twist to that one. There will be ways to obtain Muramatsu's Japanese only track but I hope...

Re: Luca Brugnoli

So, moving the conversion on from YCOTY, who has heard Luca's new Christmas song? Whilst I'm not sure about the song itself, Luca's vocal is excellent. His lower range is sounding very rich with a lovely tone (we know he can do the high notes with ease). Yep...not the kind of Christmas tune I would...

Re: Luca Brugnoli

Well, I have just listened to the finals of the Young Chorister on BBC. I am not just disappointed Luca did not win (and he deserved to), I am actually mad. I did not like Naomi's song AT ALL, it was my least favourite of all. It has nothing classical, it's full of bad habits in my opinion, very po...

Re: Luca Brugnoli

Luca was the best one in my opinion, and listening to the judges comments its difficult to understand why they didn't choose him. Exactly...the summary comments by the judges at the end were faultless on Luca it almost seemed like a forgone conclusion that he was the overall winner. Agree with othe...

Re: Luca Brugnoli

Luca clear winner for me... just better control especially in the top range and his delivery is flawless, more polished.

Well done to the others they can be proud of their efforts too. Looking forward to the finals in two weeks time.

Re: Schola Cantorum Upcoming Performances

Well done to Malakai for his solo efforts at this performance but some mentally deranged idiot in the audience wanted his 5 mins of relevance and this top trended on BBC online...

Google Lens quickly identified it for me...http://www.stmarysbeddington.org.uk/

I look forward to viewing their efforts. One for Songs of Praise?...or maybe something different.

Re: Libera singing "God Save the Queen"

Not seen that one before Yorkie - thanks for sharing and agreed, a relatively mundane and tuneless song can be brightened up with the Libera 'twist'

Re: Libera in soundtrack of "Card Shark" game

Sorry I must have missed this topic...I tweeted about it yesterday thinking it was a new find. Must pay more attention. I did come across this one though, which I don't think has been covered yet...a familiar voice by now ;) Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Credits https://youtu.be/7WTgqqBnjmw?t=234 Xenoblade...

Re: Libera on 'Creative World', a Los Angeles TV show

Thanks for sharing. It was very heart-warming to hear Libera alumni speak very highly of Robert and how much influence he had in shaping their early life. We all kind of knew it but it was good to hear it directly from them in their own words. Koji spoke very well too. Creative World's most exclusiv...

Re: Wilderness Festival, Oxfordshire, August 5th, 2022

Thanks FDL you've covered it well...it would have been frustrating to know exactly what was sung and how they were received had you not been there to report on it. Always fascinated to see Libera perform in not their usual environment and watched by random people who might not know much about them. ...
