Is wings of a dove from visions album ?
No. Tom sang the classic Mendelssohn song from "Hear my Prayer"
Here's Oliver Putland of "Angel Voices" singing the same piece:

Re: USA spring tour 2015...

At BOS waiting for connection to IAH and reflecting on last night’s first leg of Libera’s Spring Tour. First the venue. The Wilbur is a converted cinema, ugly on the outside but pretty inside. The stalls area is set up like a comedy club with tables and chairs. The tables are set at right angles to ...

Re: Washington Concert DVD

Finally got to see the Blu-Ray version on a decent big-screen tv. Makes all the difference as far as giving a more accurate representation of the beauty of the venue and the amazing lighting effects. No longer any complaints there. Still peeved that they messed up the song order, the applause, and m...

Re: Thomas Delgado-Little

Here's a review of Tom's latest performance. "Hear My Prayer formed the first contribution to the evening of Guildford’s Vivace Chorus, here sounding dramatic and disciplined in the choral interjections of this famous anthem. The use of Mendelssohn’s own orchestration of the piece served to rei...

Re: Washington Concert DVD

There's a few bits of oddities with the editing of the video... for example rolling the end credits over 'Song of Life' and having the standing ovation at the end of 'Sanctus'. Maybe those who haven't read the reviews from last year will be none-the-wiser but I would have preferred for them to capt...

Re: Thomas Delgado-Little

No doubt everyone is familiar with what is perhaps Mendelssohn’s most famous melody, the charmingly lyrical “O For the Wings of a Dove”. Tonight Guildford was treated to the much longer full version of “Hear my Prayer” from which that delightful piece comes. And what a treat it was with Tom singing ...

Re: Washington Concert DVD

The only song on the album I still feel like I have to warm up to is "Wayfaring Stranger" because my mind still hasn't quite accepted a choral version with classical instruments of this traditional folk song. Well, I guess it just depends upon what you're used to. I first heard "Wayf...

Re: USA spring tour 2015...

It's been a while since we heard Sacris Solemnis (2009), Going Home (2010) and Love and Mercy (2011). Would like to see them make a come back - plus the ones already mentioned.

Who else has noticed that the arrangements for "Wayfaring Stranger", "Wonderful World". and "The Prayer" were all by Sam Coates? I only realized this today while listening to a PBS recording of the Washington Concert and revisiting the program. Of course, we all want RP...

Re: Libera goodies for sale

Thanks for reminding me to make my annual donation to Libera, but I think I'll make it a general donation instead of tying it to a specific item. What would they do if they got a hundred lunch donations but no dinner donations? I think that sponsoring a meal or hotels specifically are more about ma...

Probably not the answer you are looking for, but region free Blu Ray/DVD players are really quite affordable now. A basic model costs around $100.
