Re: Lockdown encouragement video

During this coronavirus pandemic, and with many people stuck at home, a little fan community project is a great idea. There are a number of cool things that many of us could do for fun to keep our spirits up; aside from merely listening to our favorite choir of course. But it should be mentio...

Re: Film: The Chorus

I wonder, if Libera should one day come to France to perform, would they pick a song from that movie ? :D They definitely have links with Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint Marc, since the Lyon's choir has sang several songs from R Prizeman. Ha, that made me think about this raw PCCB/Libera mashup I mad...

That ending with Pepinot
I second this.

Re: Favourite soloists, by Album

I have no problem with anyone's solo picks, and don't really have any 1 top soloist per album....but.... 2019 Christmas Carols w. Libera - Did not have the chanche to listen yet.    Didn't listen yet?! That album has a ton of really good songs and prominent solos. :D If ...

Re: No work for 2 weeks

Since I retired 6 months ago I've been concentrating on shedding some weight. I want to get my weight in the "normal" range so I've been dieting and exercising. At the local YMCA I would swim 1 mile 3 times / week and augment that with about an hour of treadmill, walking or elliptical mac...

Re: No work for 2 weeks

No doubt! At times like this Libera's music helps me greatly. With my job being put mostly on hold (I can do a lot of work at home but not nearly enough to occupy a full day) and my main hobby being drastically limited with my gym being closed, it can be a bit crazy. But the key is to stay positive ...

Re: Potential Impact of COVID-19 on Libera

The earliest I see a performance happening would be in Fall. Even if by some miracle the virus crisis resolves itself by June, the choir will likely not be in a position, in terms of rehearsals, to perform or travel for a number of months.

However, any plans that Libera has for the next three months could certainly be in jeopardy, including recording an album.
Agreed. I put the odds of cancellation at no better than 50/50.

Re: 2020 Album Speculation

I don't know anymore than you do about whether they are contractually obligated to do that or not. I do recall that someone spoke to one of the Libera staff at a concert in the past couple years, and apparently they expressed their intentions to release an album every year. I don't think that they ...

2020 Album Speculation

As has been discussed on a number of occasions, there are credible indications that Libera is contractually obligated to release an album annually to coincide with their tour to Japan. For those who are unfamiliar with this, Libera has a business relationship with Libera Records which is a front nam...

Re: Libera's Official Fan Club in Japan

Thank you, fan_de_LoK, for this information. I'm sure that those who are members of the flan club appreciate that. I'll make a follow-up post about the 2020 concert elsewhere on the forum so that it is on topic.
