Re: Thomas Delgado-Little

The final performance of Glyndebourne’s brilliant production of “Turn of the Screw” took place in Plymouth this evening. The haunting beauty of Tom’s voice singing “Malo, malo” will stay with me forever. The rest of the cast were pretty good too! I don’t believe I have ever known audiences to be so ...

No, which is why I didn't quote your post.

Re: Thomas Delgado-Little

It was a privilege to witness Tom's superb performance in front of a full house at Glyndebourne this evening. For those who are not familiar with it, Glyndebourne is one of the most prestigious opera houses in Europe, if not the world. The rural setting is idyllic. Britten's "Turn of the Screw&...

Re: Thomas Delgado-Little

Thanks Jimmy, but the video won't play - "this video is private".
Never mind, I have tickets for next Saturday.
I expect Tom will be excellent as "Miles".
Hope they spell his name correctly in the official programme.

Re: Girls vs. Boys voices

This has been something that I've been wondering about for a while. Why is it that many people think that there is a difference between boys and girls voices? I have read experts can't tell the difference between girls and boys voices. Unless, of course, it's for tradition. http://www.google.ca/url...

Re: USA summer 2014

At the trial run on the 6th the lighting, the staging and the performances were all magnificent, but the boys themselves were obviously very tired and RP’s exhortations for smiley faces did not meet with the usual enthusiasm. What a difference a good night’s rest and an appreciative audience of more...

You are correct. Primary purpose is to provide tax relief for US donors but also to promote Libera and provide support for Libera's US tours.

Re: New Libera-Dreams Website

Probably just the calm before the storm. Other sites are fairly quiet too.
Speculation about a summer tour will probably start soon - and then a flurry of activity can be expected when details are released.
I suspect there will be some exciting news fairly soon.

Re: Arundel 2014

I was waiting for someone else to go first, but the short term memory is going so I had better get a few words down for those unlucky enough to have missed this gem. Long term memory is somewhat better and this, my fourth Arundel concert, made me recall my first Arundel concert in 2009. None of the ...

Re: Star Spangled Banner in Minor Key

So much nicer than the usual screeching versions. So many have tried unsuccessfully to improve this frankly ugly ( no disrespect) sounding anthem with Whitney Houston style vocal gymnastics. Your version is actually quite pleasing to the ear. Thanks.
