Re: Japanese CD + DVD

Hey everyone, I do not know where else to ask this question but maybe someone can help me. I received an email offer from HMV in Japan to enter some sort of drawing for 2 tickets to some kind of Libera event in Japan because I pre-ordered my CD. If I were to win, are these tickets transferable? I w...

Re: Japanese CD + DVD

The English lyrics of "Angel" surely is confusing! For example, Isaac's solo line around 3:20 has very weird grammar: Can I be your friend indeed, from all cares set free The clouds would passed away , then I'd be an angel too Besides little things like this, I think "Angel" has ...

And it has now been released as a single on iTunes :D https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/tian-shinokureta-qi-ji-single/id1054646699 Notice the copyright holder is Libera Records....interesting First Impression: Very Song of Life-ish but in a good way  Thanks for the link! I'm guessing "Li...

Re: Japanese CD + DVD

a new clip for the song Angel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs3HRiowjdY&sns=em Thank you to the people who found it on Twitter . It's not so Song-of-Life-ish in this clip. I really like how smiley Mark UR is. Am I the only one who thinks the current batch of boys is in general a bit (or a lot)...

Re: The Holiday EP (Santa Will Find You)

I just went through the generous 1:30 previews, and my overall impression is that the new arrangements/recordings sound more lighthearted and playful than those we've heard before. "Carol of the Bells" has certainly become a Libera essential, just like Sanctus, Salva Me, etc. We can make c...

Re: Japanese CD + DVD

This song, just like Mr. Muramatsu's Far Away and Song of Life, seems to have a very demanding range. It also has that kind of warm, touching tone. It's not surprising then that the burden is again on Isaac.

I can't wait for the whole song to come out! :)

Re: Japanese CD + DVD

The case of the song "Santa" is solved, it's a new song !! :D Its full title is " Santa will find you " Might it be a Libera version of this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS3XKlTp9tw Thanks for the clarification! I'm guessing it could be a remake of the original song. But we ...

Japan Christmas Tour 2015

Libera Records announced two Christmas concerts on its Facebook page . They will take place on Monday, December 21 at Osaka International Conference Center (Grand Cube Osaka) and on Wednesday, December 23 at Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. More detail is promised to come in early October. I suspect L...

Re: Alessandro McKinnon-Botti

By the way, Henry, I like your "L" avatar. Does it stand for Longhorn or for Libera ? Both? :D I appreciate your detailed insight about Libera rehearsals, Surpinto! I totally agree that the passion for music is the most important factor here. I can think of quite a few former Libera singe...

Re: Alessandro McKinnon-Botti

Although I am no expert, it is my understanding that the choir is a rather prestigious one indeed. The fact that several of the Libera choristers are there is a testament to their skill and talent. I remember being in my middle school orchestra; I certainly did not look forward to waking up early t...

Re: 1 Hour compilation of SPBC / early Libera

Just found this one hour long compilation of St. Philip's Boys Choir and early Libera performances. Including the Thora on the Straight and Narrow appearances and some rare footage too, I think. Gives you an insight in the creativity of the really early days. Different costumes, original camera wor...

Re: San Diego Concert

Looking back, Libera did have a large number of concerts in North America (and elsewhere) in 2011. How successful were they back then, and did the boys struggle with the schedule? By contrast, this December scheduling would have long distances and no breaks, combining the worst elements of those tw...
