Quite a lot of those Arundel seats were pre-blocked out (those in the normal tier seating on front & rear left without a silhouette). I assume that the front row non-premium right will be the sound desk.
I wonder who will be in all those pre-reserved seats?

Re: 2023 US Tour
Yes, "95:1 odds-on". I learned it as "favorable : unfavorable" in school and it stuck even though it's clearly not how people actually use odds. So would 1:95 have been the correct way to write it, or is that still improper? I'm not sure if LDF ought to permit actual gambling :m...

Re: 2023 US Tour
Nothing in this life is certain, but if I were a betting man I'd place the odds at 95:1 in favor of it happening. Please note that I'm being conservative in my number  . I assume you mean 95:1 odds-on (as in you need to bet $95 in order to win $1). 95:1 odds (bet $1 to win $95) would make it ...

Re: 2023 - Two UK Concerts in December
Thanks for explaining the reasoning. If there really is no limit on the number of tickets, that could indeed be an explanation, as it sounds logical that the parents would organize a few patrons among them who would buy tickets for everyone interested. It‘s difficult to know for certain, but it mig...

Re: 2023 - Two UK Concerts in December
To me it looks like the seats where regularly bought up by patron members of SJSS during the presale phase before the general sale commenced. Of course it sounds reasonable to assume that some of the parents could be patron members themselves, but I doubt that SJSS would give them any rebates. They...

Re: Oldest treble voices of Libera
Singing at 14/15/16 doesn't necessarily = singing as a Treble though does it. They may be singing in a lower/alto range and most people (me) wouldn't have a clue. I can say though that I was there when Josh sang Faithful Heart in July 2012. Couldn't say if he did so as a Treble mind you. https://you...

Re: Forever (Spring 2023)
Forever is album of the week on Scala radio. There was a short interview with Sam before they played O Beata (around 1.45 into the show by Penny Smith). I assume they will play a track each day on the show and she said it was a Scala exclusive ahead of Friday's release.

Re: Forever (Spring 2023)
Finally! Feel like I've been waiting ages for this vid! Although, I am not surprised they have saved it for just before the album get's released! I am happy that it will get to be heard by many more people, because I really do think Freddie is exceptional in this song and deserves all the praise he...

Re: Malakai Bayoh
Going back a bit to the question I was asked of what Malakai should have sung in the final...Libera have released Ave Verum today and I think that would have been perfect for him. He could possibly have had the CV orchestra & his friends from the Schola to back him. The music is quite well known...

Re: Malakai Bayoh
Lucio Dalla wrote this song in 1986 while spending the night in an Hotel in Sorrento, in the same room where the tenor Enrico Caruso spent his last days. It's one of the most beautiful song ever written, but it's not suitable for a choirboy, it's not meant to be sung like an opera aria, and Malakai ...

Re: Malakai Bayoh
Would it have mattered to him - career technic - if he had won? He has now been able to present himself to a very large group of people, including professionals. What he has done now -viewed from his age- a very nice musical career is ahead of him. I think it was a bad song choice. Shoot me down if...

Re: Malakai Bayoh
Difficult to strike a balance between a piece that which would fully demonstrate the superior quality of his voice and that which would appeal to the great unwashed (generally not opera). Any suggestions as to what might have worked? Don't know if it even matters. Have any pure singers won BGT sinc...
