Re: Libera Concert in China (2017)

Many thanks to all the people who are posting reviews of this tour. I can only imagine that this has been quite a wonderful experience for you as you follow Libera's concerts in China. It will be interesting to find out through the boys' blog what they thought of their time in China. Thanks again, e...

Re: Libera Concert in China (2017)

Congratulations to Mr. Prizeman and the boys for their professionalism during the concert performed in front of such an inattentive and impolite audience. I don't know if the audience in that region had any previous experience with attending choral performances at that venue. What I do know is that ...

Re: Libera at Christmas - EP

The last time I heard Libera live was in Boston. I remember Camden's lovely solo turn on 'Lullabye', and the delicate timbre of the voice of the soloist on 'Hymn to Mary' has me thinking that perhaps it is him if he was part of this recording. There was something in the voice that made me think that...

Re: Continental Europe Tour Summer 2016

I can understand how difficult it must be for Libera to raise the funds that they need, especially when they have to rely upon donations to bolster their resources. I wonder if it would be helpful for supporters to know how much is needed so that they can donate accordingly, i.e., having some sort o...

Re: Late 2015 & Early 2016 US Tour

It's odd that the Niswonger Performing Arts Centre has not removed the April 3rd concert and appears to be selling tickets. With a concert apparently booked in South Korea on the same date, it would appear that the lads have somehow been double booked (oops). I would imagine as well that the U.S. da...

Re: Japan Christmas Tour 2015

The professional recordings are markedly better. The boys represented themselves well during their performance. I also saw the clip of Taichi speaking. He is such a confident little fellow. He handled the Japanese speech like a pro. I remember him speaking at the Boston concert. He was so animated.

Re: Japan Christmas Tour 2015

It probably would be difficult to enforce in an open-air environment. I would hope that most people would have realized that filming a substandard video and posting it online is disrespectful to Libera. Those of us who are aware of their DVDs would know that this obviously wasn't how Libera normally...

Re: Japan Christmas Tour 2015

Did the venue not give the audience a warning about audio or video recordings? I find it hard to believe that audience members were allowed to record. Bootleg videos of concerts posted to YouTube or shared anywhere do a great disservice to Libera by misrepresenting their sound. Those who happen to v...

Re: User Rank

Instead of having our administrators/moderators read through endless opinions in comment form, would it not be more efficient for all forum members to respond to a poll in tabular form, that is, some sort of quantifiable survey based on a question set by the administrator? Having people give their o...

Re: User Rank

I don't care for ranking with choir-related terms. Firstly, they might be a bit confusing if some of us like myself have actually been choir directors in real life, and don't "rank" at that level according to the system. Secondly, and most importantly, many of us are adults, and I think to adopt des...

Re: Anybody recognise this song?

Some places where a mention of a certain piece of music played in an ad might be found include personal blogs or discussion boards. I have found information regarding pieces of music I wish to identify from commercials on sites such as these. I type some key words into Google Search and I get some p...

Re: Anybody recognise this song?

Hi, Yorkie, Of course the song and the artist are unmistakable to us. People who are unfamiliar with Libera and their music may not be aware that the boys are providing the soundtrack for the ad. Those who wish to find out may have to go through the various renditions of "Carol of the Bells" on YouT...

Re: Santa.....

That's strange that yours says "All", Yorkie. I just checked the link for the purchase. It clearly says that the DVD is Region 2, and therefore would not work in North America, at least without some fussing with settings, and I'm not technically inclined. Because I'm in Canada, it's not worth the ex...
