Re: Libera to tour USA

Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA is the only one with preferred or special front seating, which is a rather large section with no seat assignments shown on the ticket website. I am waiting for my ticket in the mail to see if it has a seat number. No seat number on my "print at home" ticket for ...

Re: New album is called Hope

Another interpretation could be that "from a distance" all appears well with the world. God is watching us "from a distance", so perhaps this means that God does not see, or does not care about, the misery and suffering in the world. Or perhaps it means God will not intervene and we must make our ow...

Re: Libera to tour USA

---but nothing has yet been confirmed by Official Libera - though according to the US organiser (see Libera.org) more than half the funds for Visas and Airfares have been raised so it is looking promising. If all goes well I expect there will be further concerts announced somewhere between Los Angel...

Nobody has mentioned Exultate yet I see.....
I suspect that doubtful privilege was reserved for you.
I think my own choice is known well enough.

Re: New album is called Hope

I received the international version of "Hope" yesterday. I like the packaging and much prefer the track order compared with the Japan version - though I would have preferred if "Venite Adoremus" and "Angel" had switched places. I do not miss "Jupiter". The vocal part was great but I found the lengt...

Re: Japan Tour May 2017

Very few changes to report from the Osaka Concert. Camden was back for “Dreaming of Home”; Gabriel was replaced by Merlin for “Far Away” – he was excellent. Gabriel appeared to have developed a cold but he was still able to perform “Smile”. The slight huskiness of his voice added a pleasing layer of...

Re: Japan Tour May 2017

The program might be the same but every Libera concert is unique. Tonight we had some soloist changes with Camden and Gabe swapping places for “Angel” (Camden) and “Dreaming of Home” (Gabriel) and extra back-up for “Wonderful World” (Camden and Rocco). Different songs made my personal favourite list...

Re: Japan Tour May 2017

No need for a comprehensive review as the program was exactly the same as the Ely concert which has been extensively covered. As far as I can remember, the soloists too were unchanged although Gregor did need a little help with "Wonderful World" - whether because of a cold or the beginning of voice ...

Thank you Patrick :)

Wow so you all got photos with the boys.
Yup. It was offered once before in Cebu, but I was too shy then.

Re: "Angel" (Isaac) or: Thoughts about song releases and releasing practice

So you're saying that Tom's voice reaches the ultrasonic range? Maybe. Not at all. The ultrasonic noise produced by bats is for navigation by echolocation or sonar; not audible to the human ear and not reproducible by the human voice. The sounds they make for communication are mostly both audible t...

Re: "Angel" (Isaac) or: Thoughts about song releases and releasing practice

Vince, an instrument-builder, organ-repairman, and sound engineer who has had a lot of experience with bats and belfries, says that the bats wouldn't have responded to the high notes, but more probably to the warmth arising from the stage lighting and full audience. If Vince was actually there he w...

Re: "Angel" (Isaac) or: Thoughts about Libera's song releases and releasing practice

I'm sure I'm not the only one waiting for the recording of Voca Me filmed at Armagh to be released. Whenever I only see the title Voca Me , I can't help going all weak! :!: :) And so this song exists in an unreleased version ... Armagh was filmed, yes - but I never knew they sang it there. All who ...

Looks like no one has heard the studio version of Wayfaring Stranger yet.
It is on the regular Japanese edition which I have. Alex G does a great job - certainly lives up to the high standard of the previous soloists - to which those who heard him at St. George's and Ely can attest.
